MARY MAKES IT EASY AWARDED THREE MORE CANADIAN SCREEN AWARDS!
Boat Rocker's Proper Television today celebrates its series MARY MAKES IT EASY for earning three Canadian Screen Awards at Wednesday's Lifestyle & Reality ceremony. The series earned its second consecutive honour for Best Lifestyle Series, this time for the second half of its inaugural season. It also marks the fourth consecutive Best Lifestyle Series win for a Mary Berg-led series for the prodco (previous wins for MARY'S KITCHEN CRUSH).
On top of its series win, MARY MAKES IT EASY also took home awards for its two additional nominees. Director, Jan McCharles, won Best Direction, Lifestyle or Information; and Director of Photography, Kevin C. W. Wong, won Best Photography, Lifestyle or Reality/Competition, each for the season 1 finale episode, "BBQs and As."
Accepting the award for Best Lifestyle Series on stage were Executive Producer Allison Grace, Series Producer David Donohue, Senior Producer Michelle Li, and Co-Executive Producer Berg, who also hosted the ceremony for the Canadian Academy.
Throughout Canadian Screen Week, Proper Television was also nominated for Best Factual Series and Best Direction, Factual for LOST CAR RESCUE (History Canada/Hulu); plus six nominations for THE GREAT CANADIAN BAKING SHOW (CBC); and one for RAUFIKAT'S BETTER BAKE ALONG (CBC Gem).
