Toronto (February 2, 2017) - Proper Television announced today production is underway for LAST STOP GARAGE (12 x 30'), a new series to air on Discovery Canada. LAST STOP GARAGE is the first unscripted series to be filmed in Labrador, one of the most isolated and harshest environments in North America, and is expected to air in late 2017.
"Proper Television is excited to be in production on the quirky new series LAST STOP GARAGE," said Guy O'Sullivan, President of Proper Television. "We've literally broken new ground by being the first unscripted series to film in the wilds of Labrador, a region of Canada's that's rife with fantastic stories and interesting characters."
LAST STOP GARAGE is a factual series with a comedic bent set in North West River, Labrador, population 499. The series follows the antics inside CRB Automotive, the sole auto repair shop in this wild and rugged frontier. The colourful cast of characters of this family owned garage are wildly resourceful out of necessity, and are willing to fix, invent and repurpose just about anything: Zambonis, snow blowers, airplanes, ATVs, snowmobiles and moose-damaged dump trucks. Being the only game in town, they are also called on to rescue stranded vehicles, people, and sometimes animals. It's all in a day's work for these hardy East Coasters who live beyond where the asphalt of the Trans-Labrador Highway ends. LAST STOP GARAGE will air on Discovery Canada and Velocity in the U.S. Proper Rights will be representing the series for international distribution.
